Welcome to your private 10-bedroom estate. When you book Fairview Gatherings, you are securing exclusive use of two neighbouring properties: Fairview House (The Social Hub) and Fairview Barn (The Quiet Retreat). This unique layout allows 20 guests to holiday together without living on top of each other.
🏡 WING 1: FAIRVIEW HOUSE (Sleeps 14) The main house is the heartbeat of the estate, where the group comes together to cook, eat, and play.
The Kitchen: A massive country kitchen designed for social cooking. Features a cream AGA (plus a huge restaurant grade range oven/hob for the large group meals), Nespresso machine, dishwasher, and a breakfast bar for morning coffee.
Dining Room: The formal celebration space featuring a monumental oak table. Note: As is common in period properties, this table seats 14 guests comfortably and we have an extension table to allow for the full 20.
Lounge: A cosy retreat with plush sofas, Smart TV, and a log burner (starter pack of logs provided) for winter evenings. Note: the lounge will not fit 20 people, there are bean bags in the games room that previous guests have brought down but it will be snug with 20 people.
The Games Room: Located on the top floor, this is the ultimate “teen retreat” or late-night hangout, featuring a Pool Table and Table Tennis. and TV room.
Sleeping (7 Bedrooms): A mix of King, Super-King, and Twin rooms spread over two floors. we have super king zip and link beds so please let us know how you would like them configuring.
Highlight: The ground-floor twin room has direct garden access.
🏠 WING 2: FAIRVIEW BARN (Sleeps 6) Just steps across the courtyard, the Barn offers a modern sanctuary. It is perfect for grandparents who want a peaceful night’s sleep or a young family needing their own routine.
Independence: Fully self-contained with its own contemporary living area fully equipped kitchen and additional kitchenette.
Sleeping (3 Bedrooms all with En-suites): Three beautifully appointed bedrooms offering a quieter atmosphere away from the main house buzz, two of which have bi folding doors that open up directly onto the private courtyard.
🌿 THE GROUNDS & AMENITIES
Two Hot Tubs: We have installed two private hot tubs on the main patio so there is plenty of room for everyone to soak under the stars.
The Private Field: A rare luxury! You have exclusive access to a large, enclosed grassy paddock adjoining the garden. It is perfect for rounders matches, tiring out the dogs, or picnic blankets in the summer.
Gardens: Enclosed courtyard and patio areas with outdoor seating and all together with an XL Kamado BBQ for summer dining.
You are booking the entire Fairview Estate, giving you exclusive, uninterrupted use of the grounds. There are no shared spaces with strangers; the privacy is yours alone.
The Layout: The estate consists of two distinct properties separated by a courtyard:
Fairview House (The Social Hub): Sleeps 14 in 7 bedrooms. Includes the main farmhouse kitchen, formal dining room, and the Games Room.
Fairview Barn (The Quiet Wing): Sleeps 6 in 3 En-suite bedrooms. Includes its own living area Kitchen and kitchenette, perfect for members of the group who value a little extra quiet or privacy.
Outdoor Access:
The Grounds: You have full access to the gardens and patios. with 2 Hot Tubs, one on each property.
The Field: The adjoining grassy paddock is exclusively yours during your stay—ideal for dog exercise or children’s games.
Parking: Private off-road parking is available for 8+ cars on the driveway.
We offer a contact-free check-in via secure key safes at both the House and the Barn, allowing your group to arrive at your own pace without worrying about meeting a host at a specific time.

On-Call: While we respect your privacy and leave you to enjoy the estate, we are local and available via phone or Airbnb message should you need assistance during your stay.

Fairview Gatherings is located on the edge of Tideswell, one of the most desirable villages in the White Peak.
Why guests love this location:
The Village (Walkable): You are just a 0.5-mile stroll (approx. 10 mins) from the village center. Here you will find the famous “Cathedral of the Peak” church, a local Co-op for essentials, a butcher, and the superb Tideswell Bakery (famous for their distinct Derbyshire Oatcakes).
Pubs & Dining: You don’t need to drive for dinner! The village hosts excellent local pubs, including The Horse & Jockey and The Star, plus a fish & chip shop and cafe. You are also just a short 5 minute drive away from the famous Toll Bar fish and chip shop.
The Outdoors: You are in the heart of walking country. Tideswell Dale and the traffic-free Monsal Trail are on your doorstep, while the famous Mam Tor and Castleton caverns are just a short drive away.
Car: We are easily accessible from the A6. We recommend cars for ease of exploring the wider Peak District (Chatsworth House, Bakewell, etc.).
EV Charging: An Electric Vehicle charger is available on-site for guest use.
Bus: The local bus service stops in Tideswell village, connecting you to Buxton and Bakewell.
Train: The nearest railway stations are Hope (10 mins drive) or Buxton (15 mins drive), both offering connections to Manchester and major hubs. Taxis are available locally but should be pre-booked for large groups.
To ensure your group has a 5-star experience, please note the following before booking:
Dining Capacity: While the estate comfortably sleeps 20 people, the formal dining table in the Main House seats 14 guests. For full-group meals, an additional extension for the table is needed and can be set up upon request. Many of our guests enjoy “buffet style” dining or set up a separate “kids’ table” in the large dinning room.
Stairs: Both the House and Barn are historic properties with multiple levels and stairs.
Parties: We specialise in family gatherings, milestone birthdays, and reunions. We reside in a peaceful community and while we do accept stag/hen do’s, we do ask that you respect our neighbours and restrict all noise to a minimum past 23:00.
Dogs: We are very dog-friendly! Please let us know if you are bringing pets, with there being plenty of space we can accommodate a group of dogs we just ask that you respect the property and the work that goes into keeping it spotlessly clean. We ask that dogs remain off the furniture.
Hot Tubs: The hot tubs are professionally serviced. For your safety, glass is not permitted in the hot tub areas (plastic glasses are provided!).
